Delightful Healthy Sesame Halva Recipe

Halva is a dense, sweet dessert commonly made in the Balkans and many Eastern parts of the world with each region having its own traditional recipe for making it.

This healthy and easy raw halva recipe uses only 3 ingredients: sesame, honey and coconut oil.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 400g sesame
  • 40-50g coconut oil
  • 400g raw honey
  • Some crushed nuts (walnuts, almonds etc) (optional)

Toast the sesame seeds for few minutes until they slightly darken.

Cool and then put in the food processor.

Add coconut oil (previously warmed up). Blend it all.

Add the honey and the nuts. Put in the mold and refrigerate for half an hour.

Courgette (Zucchini) Carpaccio

RAW Courgette (Zucchini) Carpaccio Starter

  • RAW Courgette (Zucchini) Carpaccio StarterPreparation time 10 minutes.
  • Serves 2.

Ingredients

  • 2 small zucchinis
  • 1TBS olive oil
  • 1-2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • Salt, pepper, oregano, basil, pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp of raw honey
  • 1 tsp parmesan cheese

For dressing, blend well olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey and spices.

Thin slice the zucchinis with peeler lengthwise.

Put salt and pepper over zucchinis first, then pour the dressing and finish with grating some parmesan cheese over it.

Enjoy.
