Spicy Pumpkin Soup. Simple and delicious. Great for those who want to lose weight.
Many people know that pumpkin is extremely rich in vitamins such as A, C and vitamin-E that’s why it can help greatly in keeping our eyesight sharp.
What’s a little less known is that the pumpkin can keep us feeling full for longer on fewer calories. 100 g provides only 26 calories and contains no saturated fats or cholesterol. This is why the pumpkin is recommended as part of many weight loss programs.
I recently experimented with a new way of making the pumpkin soup and we all loved it, so I am sharing the recipe.
Spicy Pumpkin Soup Recipe
Preparation and cooking time
- 4 cups of pumpkin (around 600-700grams)
- 1 tbs of coconut oil
- 2 onions
- some ginger
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 2 cups (400-500ml) of coconut milk
- 3 cups of water
- Thyme, salt, pepper
- 1 tsp of chili powder or fresh chili pepper
- Heat the coconut oil, add chopped onion, garlic and ginger and cook on low heat for few minutes.
- Add the pumpkin peeled (or not) and cut in cubes. Simmer for another few minutes.
- Add the unsweetened coconut milk, water and thyme and simmer for another 20-25 minutes.
- Add the salt, pepper and chili.
- Puree the soup using a blender or stick blender.
- Add freshly chopped coriander.
Suppress the appetite by taking the honey/apple cider vinegar syrup before meals.
Mix a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of pure honey with a dash of cinnamon.
Take three times a day and sip slowly before each main meal.
Apple cider vinegar has acids and enzymes which will speed up the metabolism and process of burning fat in your body rather than storing it. It suppresses the appetite and makes you eat less and lose your weight quickly.
It will make you feel fuller for longer time by reducing the speed that the stomach is emptied.
This syrup with its amazing properties helps to flush out the harmful toxins from the body which also helps to lose the excess weight.
This powerful combination not only helps with weight loss but also strengthens the immune system, treats cellulite, detoxifies the body, helps with cold and coughing, treats viral, bacterial and fungal infections and has many other health benefits.
I find it useful to prepare this syrup in advance by taking a cup of honey and mixing with cup of apple cider vinegar and adding a teaspoon or two of cinnamon.
It does not need to be refrigerated, just keep it at a dark place.
Citrus Tonic – Miraculous Drink Helps You Melt Your Cellulite & Lose Weight
This miraculous drink will cleanse your blood, liver and kidneys, ease arthritis pain, melt your cellulite, help lose weight, remove toxins from the body, stop the buildup of excess water in the body, speed up metabolism…
This drink is best to take first thing in the morning for at least a week, preferably for one month to see the results.
You will need
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 grapefruit
- 2-3 oranges
- Ginger (2.5 cm)
- 1-3 clove of garlic (if you are brave enough)
- 1-4 tsps. of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil
- 250ml of pure filtered water
Preferably use all organic ingredients. Cut the solids in pieces and juice without removing the peel (except for garlic). You would need to have around 250ml of juice. Add more oranges if needed.
When done, add 250ml of pure filtered water and olive oil and enjoy 🙂
If it is the first time you drink this kind of beverage, it may taste a bit strong so I suggest using at least half of the peel (do add some peel, bitter etheric oils from citrus fruits contain pectin and are fantastic for cleansing liver and kidneys)
The citrus tonic is best to be followed (15 minutes after) with 2 cups of detox herbal tea (e.g. ginger, lemon, cinnamon, cardamom, clove buds, pepper are some of the great detox tea ingredients).
