The quantities are approximate, you should arrive at 1.5 liter so adjust the amounts as necessary.

  • 1 kg or 10-15 carrots depending on the size
  • ½ kg or 3-4 beets depending on the size
  • 4-5 beet large leaves. Additionally or alternatively you can add two handfuls of paksoy, or spinach leaves.
  • 1 large cucumber
  • ½ green bell pepper
  • 1 apple (remove the seeds)
  • ½ lemon OR ½ grapefruit OR ½ orange (with skins). You can alternate citrus fruits and see what you like best.

Citrus Tonic Detox Drink RecipeDetox Juice No.2: Citrus Tonic

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1-2 oranges
  • 1 kiwi (optional)
  • Juice it all with skins (except for kiwi) and add some water to make at least 0.5 l. If you are brave add a garlic clove and tsp. of olive oil.

Note: This juice needs to be consumed immediately and  SHOULD not be stored.

Vegetable Broth

  • 2 big or 1 small fresh leeks
  • 2 fresh sweet potato
  • 4 fresh tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 celery knob (the smaller, fresher knobs are more delicately flavored) or 1 stalk organic celery
  • 1 small parsley root (if unavailable, can substitute 3 sprigs of organic parsley)
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1 Parsnip
  • 2 cm ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp pepper (optional)
  • Fresh coriander (make sure you consume around 400mg a day), parsley and fresh pressed raw garlic should be added at serving.

Steps

  1. Do not peel any of the vegetables as many of the minerals and nutrients are stored directly beneath the skin.
  2. Cut in cubes and cover all with clean pure water and cook SLOWLY, covered with a lid, at LOW heat for 2 hours.
  3. When cooled down, put all in the food processor and blend.
  4. Add fresh parsley, coriander and fresh pressed raw garlic just before serving.

 DETOX BATH RECIPE

  • Fill the bathtub with hot water (if the water is chlorinated, add 2 tbs of Hydrogen Peroxide 3%).
  • Add 2 cups of baking soda to neutralize the acids of the toxins.
  • Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts. They will help draw toxins out of the body (Do not use if you have a rash or open cut as it may sting)
  • Add 15 drops of lavender and eucalyptus essential oil (optional)
  • Add 2 tablespoons of glycerin (optional)

Coconut Chia Pudding Detox Friendly Recipe

IMG_1231Coconut Chia Pudding Recipe

Chia seeds are rightly called “superfood” as they are packed with nutrients e.g.  rich in fiber (5 grams in 1  tablespoon!), protein (can be used as the egg replacement), omega-3, calcium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and many other nutrients.

They almost have no taste at all, so it is easy to incorporate them in many recipes or add to foods like yogurt, cereal, juices, pudding etc.

This recipe is one of my favorite ways of using the chia seeds to make a delicious desert that can even be used as a part of many detox protocols.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla powder
  • Some ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons pure stevia powder or honey (optional)
  • 3/4 cup of low-sugar fruits such as raspberries, blueberries or kiwi (optional)

Duration

  • 10 minutes

Directions

  1. In a bowl, stir together chia seeds, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and stevia/honey. You can add some (warm) water if your coconut milk is too tick.
  2. Let it sit for 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight. The chia seeds will expand and absorb liquid.
  3. For me the recipe stops here, but if you like you can add some fruits just before serving.

Ginger Lemon Tea for Detox and Cold&Flu

Ginger Lemon Tea For Detox or Cold/Flu/CoughGinger Lemon Tea –  make it part of the detox protocol or use as a powerful cold/flu/cough remedy.

This tea is best to be taken in the morning before breakfast as it will cleanse your digestive system and give you a good boost of energy.

Ginger root is relaxing and soothing for our intestinal tract and  stimulates the immune system.  Cooked ginger releases specific compounds that increase cardiovascular circulation and warm us up.

Besides an  impressive amount of vitamin C and many other health benefits of lemon, the citric acid in lemons aids digestion and helps to dissolve kidney stones.

Ginger Lemon Tea Detoc Cold/Flu/Cough Remedy That’s why ginger-lemon combination works extremely well and is inevitable part of many detox programs.

When you add some honey and couple of cloves of crushed garlic and/or cayenne pepper you will get a powerful cold/flu/cough remedy.

Time To Prepare

  • 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2-3cm (2 inches) of ginger root
  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • juice of half lemon
  • When part of the detox regime you can make this tea (double or triple the amounts) in the morning and drink throughout the day.
  • Optional ingredients for cold/flu/cough remedy: honey, 2-3 cloves of crushed garlic, cayenne pepper, Echinacea tincture drops (not to be used all at once)

 Steps
